In this context, I would like to point out the following: the infrared investigation the study (IRR-Osiris A1) took place in the Herzog Anton Ulrich-Museum, Braunschweig. The responsible curators stated: there were no preparation sketches at all. Jan Davidsz. De Heem developed and changed his compositions directly on the canvas during the painting process. By looking the infrared illustration, it was possible to recognize the applied practice afterwards as well as to bring forward the following evidence: In depth technical study- Artist - Jan Davidsz.
